KEITI offers information, consulting services, financial and commercialization support to domestic companies with outstanding environmental technologies and to outstanding environmental companies for successful overseas expansion.
International Environmental Cooperation Center(IECC)
- International Environmental Cooperation Center(IECC) is established in order to lead the international environmental cooperation efforts of the Korean government under the guidance of the Ministry of Environment.
- The center conducts extensive research and cooperation activities to achieve green transition and a sustainable future.
Environmental Management Master Plan
- Establish the Master Plan: Propose policies based on basic research and local research into the target countries and target regions
- Discover cooperation programs/projects: Identify a list of cooperation projects that can be undertaken after a detailed investigation, such as surveys, soil and water quality investigation, and select a program of highest priority based on consultation with the target country
- Develop a basic plan and propose investment options: Undertake economic feasibility analysis to develop a basic plan and to come up with financing plans
- Host cooperation workshops: Host them as bilateral cooperation seminars, hold interim and final report meetings and plan a training seminar by inviting relevant individuals from partner countries to Korea
International Environmental Feasibility Study
- Increase domestic environmental companies’ chance at winning the bid for profitable overseas environmental projects and facilitate their overseas expansion by supporting participation of domestic environmental companies in the early construction stage of prospective environmental plants overseas
Localization of Environmental Technology
- Work together with local agencies in other countries to revise and improve outstanding domestic environmental technologies and demonstrate them in the local market in order to support domestic environmental companies in expanding and winning bids from overseas
Professional Consulting
- Offer professional consulting services on overseas expansion to those environmental companies facing difficulties in the overall exporting process
Project Preparation Program for GCF
- The objective of this program is to provide technical assistance to National Designated Authorities and Accredited Entities (AEs) in their development of GCF funding proposals. In close collaboration with partner entities, KEITI supports GCF project development by providing in-kind assistance delivered by reliable consultancies. With KEITI’s financial support, AE’s may also leverage the expertise of local consultancies as they see fit for tasks that require an in-dept understanding of the local environment and settings.
MDB Environmental projects
Find joint environmental projects with MDBs and develop basic plans
Support domestic companies in preparing purchase order plans, consisting of basic designs for the technologies, equipments and such, so that they can participate in MDBs’ main projects
Offer consulting to domestic environmental companies on how to participate in MDB projects and host workshops and road shows jointly with MDBs
Business Loans
- Offer indirect financial services to domestic environmental companies by matching them with domestic financial institutions so that they can actively participate in overseas environmental projects
Overseas Offices(International Offices)
- Offer environmental companies immediate and full export-related support in countries where overseas offices have been established and run inter-country cooperation programs

About MGLEP (Master’s Program for Future Global Leaders in Environmental Policy)
- The Master’s Program for Future Global Leaders in Environmental Policy (MGLEP) funded by the Ministry of Environment of Korea is a scholarship program managed by Korea Environmental Industry &Technology Institute (KEITI) providing young leaders from our partnering countries with full scholarships for graduate degrees in Korea.
- The MGLEP has begun since 2015 with the aim to promote our environmental cooperation with partner countries by providing future leaders of the countries with an opportunity of master’s degree study on national sustainable development and environmental policies.
- For an effective program, Korea Environmental Industry &Technology Institute (KEITI) will cooperate with capable graduate schools in Korea to provide an opportunity for participants to accumulate their knowledge of environmental policy and technology as well as other areas of interest such as regional development and public policy.

Admission
· Eligibility : To be eligible, candidates must satisfy the followings:
- Be citizens of the partnering countries designated by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea
- Be officially nominated by his/her government
- Be government officials or employees of the public organizations or institutions in environment and environment-related departments (over three years of experience, only permanent employee)
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree officially recognized by the government as of the date of arrival to Korea
- Have a good command of both spoken and written English
- Not have participated in any of the Korean government’s scholarship programs(Master’s degree or higher) before
- Have adequate health, both mentally and physically, to stay in a foreign country for an extended period of time
- Meet the selection conditions for universities
- Agree to return to his/her home country after completion of study under this program
· Number of Recipients : Approximately 20~30
· Subsidies : Full-ride scholarship with a monthly stipend is provided. Details of financial support by MGLEP include the following expenses:
- Tuition fee
- Accommodation (dormitory of academic institution)
- Living allowance (including meals): KRW 999,000 per month
- Travel expenses (Airfare): Round-trip economy class ticket
- Miscellaneous travel expenses: KRW 200,000 upon arrival
- Allowance for textbooks and materials: KRW 400,000 per year

· Submission of Documents
- The required documents should arrive at the KEITI office by both email and postal mail no later than the application deadline.
· English Score Report
- The score report of English proficiency test is required to submit for all applicants. We encourage all applicants to submit the score report, but if you do not have a score, you can submit any proof of your English proficiency.
· All courses are conducted entirely in English.
- Applicant interviews are mandatory. An online interview will be conducted for those applicants who have passed the 1st round (Evaluation of Application Documents). The interview will be conducted in English.
· No delay in admission
- An offer of admission to the program is made only for the upcoming academic year. Acceptance of the offer is not deferred.
· Dormitory
- Dormitory residence is mandatory for all MGLEP students. Students should stay in the dormitory provided by his/her academic institution.
· Not allowed to bring family members
- As MGLEP is an intensive program which requires students of full commitment and concentrated endeavors for studying, participants are not allowed to bring any family members.
